I put a lot of work in the job.
I put a lot of work into the job.
I put a lot of resource into the job.
Which one is correct? When do I use in or into?

Which one is correct? When do I use in or into?

Generally speaking, use "in" if it can be replaced with "inside" and "into" if there is some kind of action or movement involved, even if it's metaphorical movement.
The set phrase is "to put a lot of work into something". The same goes for "to put a lot of effort into ...".
