Queen of the Nightscapes

There once was a woman named Adrienne
Who lived as a fantasy in the minds of men.
Once or twice--or so it seems--
I thought I heard
(In the voice of a forest bird)
This dazzling beauty
Calling to me,
But it was only in my dreams.

There are millions of limmericks beginning with
"There once was a . . . ."

I thought that he did not want him poem to be in that format - which is a cliche.
