Question about "for example"

Did I use "for example" in the sentences below correctly?

The classes that I am attending help me a lot. For example in studying psychology, I learn how people think.

The classes that I am attending help me a lot. For example of studying psychology, I learn how people think.

Did I use "for example" in the sentences below correctly?

The classes that I am attending help me a lot. For example, in studying psychology, I learn how people think.

The classes that I am attending help me a lot. For example of studying psychology, I learn how people think.

The first sentence uses "for example" ok - it would be better still if you add the comma and said "by studying..."

The second sentence is wrong.
