why we say an url although "u" vawel

We would not say "an" before this acronym (URL) because when we spell out the acronym, the first letter (U) sounds like the word "YOU". This does not begin with a vowel. It is not the actual letter that matters, it is how the letter sounds when you say it.

Where have you seen "an URL"?

gauri_agr - Please note that the rule about using a or an depends on the sound, not the letter. URL starts with a Y sound.
