Yes, informally you can reply like that.

Another possibilities:
- Have a nice day. (Yes, you may reply with the very same sentence.)
- [I wish] the same to you.
- [Thanks.] Have a nice day too.
- [Thanks.] Nice day for you [too].
- [Thanks.] Good day for you [too].
