A man is so annoyed because he noticed the one of his friend suddenly became so clingy and conciders him his best best.

He says about his friend:
"he made me go with him to Astro Burger and split a turkey burger and a real burger so we could be "heart smart" together."

I can't understand what is "real burger"??, Second, I think that "heart smart" here is playing with words, right?

Can you please tell me what he means with that sentence?

Thanks a lot.

I believe that "heart smart" is meant to mean eating in such a way that you keep your heart healthy. It is an expression that has arisen in recent years.

A real burger is one of those red meat specials, dripping in grease and oozing with fat-filled taste. Certainly not heart smart.

And, no, I wouldn't consider a half-turkey half-"real" burger to be "heart smart!"
