What is the difference between the two? I think "refrigerator" also contains "freezer", so "freezer" is a part - usually on the left - of "refrigerator". Isn't it? I saw the pictures of freezer, which we Koreans normally don't use a lot, it's a flat thing.

A "refrigerator" is an appliance that usually includes two compartments, one for keeping items cold (40 F) and one for freezing items ( 0 F). So, yes a "freezer" is a part of the "refrigerator" found in most homes.

They also make freezers that are just for frozen foods. Some are upright and look just like a refrigerator. Others are like a chest and open from the top. I have one in my basement. This allows you to purchase and store food in bulk.

I am speaking of typical home appliances.
