[Grammar] Regarding a diffrence.....

Sentence: "But I do log-in "in a while" to see what is going on in Facebook" or "But I do log-in "from time to time" to see what is going on in Facebook"

My question: (a) What is a difference between both these sentences ? (b) Are both of them correct and similar? (c) And does the usage of words "in a while" and "from time to time" make any difference ?

from time to time = every once in a while (Perhaps that is what you mean by "in a while".)

"from time to time" means 'occasionally', 'now and then'

I would only use 'from time to time' or 'every so often' or 'periodically' or 'now and then' or 'every couple of days' in this context.

In a while doesn't work here.

Once in a while would be good, though.
