Sentence: "I love being a contrarian, have been one from/since the time I began trading and it has yielded me a good result, my contrarian instincts tell me he would prove guiltless in this"

My question: Which preposition would be appropriate in the sentence from or since ?

Thanks

Either would do in that context.

Yes, either. But you're trying to put too much into a sentence, and you've become ungrammatical with the comma splice after "result".
I'd suggest starting a new sentence there.
