Hello all forum users!

Remarks which referred to descriptive documentation were overlooked, which resulted in having placed an incomplete order for painting materials.

The above-mentioned sentence was translated by me from Polish into English at the request of my workmate.

Could you pay special attention to the part starting with "which resulted in having placed an incomplete order for painting materials"? Maybe it should read "which resulted in placing an incomplete order for painting materials".

The general idea and meaning of the sentence is as follows:

The fact that remarks which referred to descriptive documentation were overlooked resulted in having placed / placing an incomplete order for painting materials. or The reason for placing an incomplete order for painting materials was that remarks which referred to descriptive documentation were overlooked.

Thank you.

I would suggest which resulted in an incomplete order for painting materials being placed.
