Teacher, is this sentence OK? Is there another way to write this sentence? I want to avoid using the word "request" twice. Thank you.


We have written to Mr. Yung requesting him to provide us with the information requested in your letter of March 1, 2013.

The sentence is okay. Avoiding repetition of "requesting" is very simple. "We have written to Mr. Yung asking him ..."

We have written to Mr Yung, reminding him of your request for information, made on March 1, 2013.

Probus' sentence is perfectly fine too, I should say.
