This is a fun game in which one person (me) asks the questions and the other person (you) gives the answers, and the answers are in the form of rhyming word pairs. The question is likely to be in the form of a two word clue. For example, a damp dog would be a wet pet. (Not all of them will be so obvious or so easy as that one.) Each word in the answer will have the same number of syllables unless indicated otherwise. Also, I may at times indicate the number of syllables in each word in the answer in the clue, thus: damp dog (1).

Not all of them will be easy, but part of the fun is figuring them out and posting the answer before everybody else. ;-)

(Teachers are asked not to guess the answer until after the others have had several tries. Yes, I realize that may mean you don't get one at all.)

You may post your own riddle, but you should send me the answer in a PM (private message). That is to be sure we are in agreement on what the answer is.

The first few should be fairly easy.

Have fun! :D

(The first clue is in the next post.)

:D

The first word is a synonym for huge or large. The second word is a synonym for hog or swine.

The first word is a synonym for woman, and the second word rhymes with the first word.

I've been thinking about the first one and it is kind of difficult, at least for me
The second one .... Could it be "feminine confident" ?

Edited: Oops, I've just read they are two one-syllable words and mine are three-syllables words.

I am glad to see that somebody is at least trying. :D

In a rhyming riddle the answer rhymes. That is, the first word rhymes with the second word (or the other way around). We have two examples of that here so far. The example I gave in the first post was wet pet. The answer to huge hog was big pig. The best way to solve these puzzles is to see if you can come up with something for the first word and then see if you can come up with a second word that rhymes with the first one. If that doesn't work, try the second word first. This should help: (Hint: look at the nouns.)Also:One word will come from one list; the other will come from the other list.

Okay, here's another. And you get two clues this time.

Clue #1: important personage
Clue #2: corpulent feline

The answers is: fat cat

I didn't know the word personage existed in English but I think it has a different connotation than in Spanish. For us, personaje is usually used as a synonym for "character", even though it also means personage.

May it be kingpin ?

Each syllable must rhyme with the other, as in hotshot.
