Dear teachers...

is this saying OK? I wonder if there's something similar in English.

We do not become older because the things we do, but because the things we stopped doing!

Many thanks

Hello my Brazilian friend,
To my "non native ear" this one sounds better:
We do not become older because of the things we do, but because of the things we stopped doing!

P.S. Dear teachers, Is... :)

Cheers!

Parallelism requires 'do; stop' or 'did; stopped'.
Yes, the saying's OK.
