Scape Span Switch
I swear it was a flat road for I could see the horizon from far away. I am sure the sun just rose like a big disk for it was in my eyes. No, it was not sunset for I knew I was almost blind in the dark. My eyes were wide open looking at the sunrise when suddenly something got into one of them. I rubbed it as usual to get rid of it. Then I closed both of them when they started to tear. One drop fell into my mouth and it tasted salty. I opened them to see the scape span switch.

The road went up a hillock. I slowed down my pace and my breathing became faster and heavier. I was unsteady on my feet and I could lift a leg only with difficulty. I couldn’t stand on my own two feet any more when I got to the top. The sun disappeared in front of my eye and darkness set in. Now as I said I was blind in the dark. I felt a steep slope was carrying me down to the depth and turning me into some sort of scape.

I can't help seeing Poe in your writing though the style is definitely yours. When the subject encounter objects and when both fuse to coin one uncanny thing-to-tell.
I also appreciate the play on speed, lights and verticality/horizontality.

Thank you

Not only the style but the idea is my own as far as anybody can call an idea her/his own. It dawned on me. One day methought I unexpectedly experienced a change of place/time and perspective, a switch from easy to more difficult. It is a product of my mind’s eye and real life experience. This means there is not only a switch but their boundaries disappear as well. Thanks for your feedback.
