She came across as pretty tough, but I'll bet that was because she had to survive in a macho man's job. But in that brief moment, her guard came down, I saw beyond the bold front to the real person.

Can I delete "to" in the last sentence?

I saw beyond the bold front (to) the real person.
I saw the real person behind(beyond) the bold front.

You can in theory, but the comma splice needs fixing first.
You could write:
"But in that brief moment, her guard came down and I saw, beyond the bold front, the real person."
"But in that brief moment, her guard came down, and I saw the real person behind the bold front." or
"But in that brief moment in which her guard came down, I saw, beyond the bold front, the real person."
