I cant get this sentence right. What order do you think reads better or is more gramatically correct?

After graduating from university with a first class honours degree in 2004, I began my career managing scientific research projects.

or

I began my career managing scientific research projects, after graduating from university with a first class honours degree in 2004.

Thanks

I prefer the first one, although the second sounds grammatically correct, too. (have to remove the comma on the second one, though.);-)
