Please, would you correct the mistakes in my sentence:

1. She did not see him as a husband and a man but rather as a means to fulfill her dreams and acquire more material things.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and read the maximum possible into this passage.

She did not find him sexually attractive but she accepted him because he was capable of providing her with a lot of material goods.

It could be read much more mildly, but that's what I think the writer really meant.

I am wondering if it would be grammatically correct if I write the previous sentence in this way:
1. She did not consider him her husband but rather as a means to fulfill her dreams and acquire more material goods.
