I am increasingly finding the word "simplistic" being used as a synonym for "simple" or "easy to use." Today, for example, I saw the following in a major computer supplier's website:

The **** presentation remote features a simplistic button layout, making it easy to give presentations.

Is this now an acceptable use of "simplistic"?
