What do you see in Mona Lisa's mysterious smile? Do you think she is smiling at you, sneering at you, or questioning you?

Does "sneering" in the above equate "laughing?"
In addition, is it proper to replace 'questioning" with "doubting/suspecting?" Thanks.

1. A sneer is an expression of derision or contempt.
2. She is looking at you as if she is asking a question.
