Which of the following sentences is acceptable?

1. Could they put themselves in others’ shoes or on behalf of the people who have different social encounters?
2. Could they put themselves in other's shoes or voice on behalf of the middle and lower classes?

I rewrite the sentences as following. Are they acceptable?

1. Could they put themselves in others' shoes?
2. Could they voice the rights and interests for the middle and lower classes?
3. Could they put themselves in others' shoes to voice the rights and interests for the middle and lower classes?
4. Could they put themselves in others' shoes to voice the rights and interests for the people who have different social encounters?

1 is fine.

In the others I would change '...the rights and interests for...' to '...the rights and interests of...'
