Hi

1-Is this sentence right?

"Thanks a lot for your call yesterday regarding Beatrix cancelation class." or should it be "Beatrix's cancelation class"?

2-What does it mean "a person is dull"?

3- What do you say when someone keep annoying you? "Stop" or "Stopped"

4- Which one is correct (if any)?
"I was at Liverpool Street when you called"
"I was in Liverpool Street when you called"

Thanks you very much indeed,

  • 1- "Thanks a lot for your call yesterday regarding Beatrix's cancelling the class."

  • 2- What does it mean "a person is dull"?

It means the person is boring, not interesting, not fun.

  • 3- What do you say when someone keeps annoying you?

Say, "Stop it!" or "Stop it, please" or "Please, stop it"

  • 4- Which one is correct (if any)?
"I was at Liverpool Street when you called"
"I was in Liverpool Street when you called"

"I was (shopping/walking/sitting/ driving) on Liverpool Street when you called."

Thanks a lot,

2- What does it mean "a person is dull"?

It means the person is boring, not interesting, not fun.

It also means depressed or sad?

"I was (shopping/walking/sitting/ driving) on Liverpool Street when you called."

But you could say "I was on Liverpool...", couldn't you?
Thanks again

Nope. It doesn't. To express 'sad/depressed', use "down".

He is down. (He's sad and/or depressed)

"I was (shopping/walking/sitting/ driving) on Liverpool Street when you called."

But you could say "I was on Liverpool...", couldn't you?

Yes. The brackets (...) mean optional. So words inside the brackets can be left unsaid.
