hi everybody
i was just wondering whether "somewhat of" could mean the same as "kind of" or "like"

He is a little bit of the same persuasion; He is to some degree of the same persuasion.

let me tell you my feedback. he is somewhat of the same persuasion doesnt make any sense at all to me. perhaps u meant to say he has ...

second. is it the same to say "somewhat of" and "somewhat"(without of).

third. i dont know if my question didnt come across.
i know the meaning of somewhat, i just asked if it could mean the same as "like" and "kinda"

It came across loud and clear, Tenderboy. First, you need 'of'.

And yes, it's similar to 'like' and 'kinda like'.
