We can go to England for holiday or somewhere else.

We can go to England for holiday or elsewhere.

Is there a difference or are these words interchangeable?

Thanks.

They are fine but not the best English. What I mean is that they are not very clear. I would write:

We can go to England or somewhere else for holiday.

We can go to England or elsewhere for holiday.

Both can be found in speech.

It would be the same in German. The structure of the sentences is more spoken language than written. Something like: We can go to England for holiday ......errh. (thinking) .... or somewhere else. ;-)

Thank you very much for your response.
