Okay so we can't say "I studied about life". We say "I studied life" or "I studied life from that book". Is it correct?

It would be better if you used a more likely example for the subject. People don't study "life" in books.

Mum: What did you study at school today?
Daughter: I studied history, geography and maths.
Mum: What did you learn?
Daughter: I learnt about the Romans in history. I learnt about the South China Sea in geography. In maths, we covered Venn diagrams but I didn't really understand them!
