Spiritual dishevel because of the workings of the agony of death

The following sentence is from a Buddhist magazine.

There are three causes of chaos of mind at the moment of death:
1. Spiritual dishevel because of the workings of the agony of death;
2. Spiritual dishevel because of demons;
3. Spiritual dishevel because of emotional attachment.

'dishevel' is a verb. Therefore, I think it should be 'dishevelment' instead.

Yes, you need the noun. Consider also using "decline."

I agree. I've never heard dishevel used as a noun.
