Hi there,

I saw this example in a dictionary, and have some questions.

I was starting to get a bit flabby around my waist.

Question 1:
I don't understand why the writer uses past continous tense.
Question 2:
Are there any differences if I use 'present', 'present continous' and simple past tense?

Thanks
pete

Hi there,

So in what situations should I use 'present', 'present continous', 'past continuous' and 'past'?

Thanks
