Hello,

It is important she attend the meeting.

1. It was essential that she be present.

2. It may be important she attend the meeting.

I always see the exprssions such as ''it is best...., it is a bad idea...,etc. for that reason I would like to ask if we can begin the sentence like sentence one and two. Must we begin always with 'it is' ?

Thanks.

If you want to get rid of "It is/was", you will have to change the sentence completely.
