-What sources do you suggest in order for me to become more familiar with international/world news?

Are the sentences I have written OK or not? I think that I have been able to make the sentences with 'in order to' and 'suggest'.

All OK, although I'm not sure about the advice on "avoiding sleep". :-?

The first seems quite natural and OK to me.
The second one, however, does not need the word “problems” and as AIDS is included in the STD, you should not use “and” it is better to use “such as”. The sentence would be: “ What do you suggest in order to prevent the STD such as AIDS?
As far as I am concerned the word “flashbacks” does not need a hyphen.
The last one seems quite OK to me.
By the way, “to avoid sleep” is OK if “sleep” is referred to as a noun while as a verb, it should get ing.

That doesn't sound right to me. I'd say, 'What do you suggest in order to prevent STDs such as AIDS?'

Since sharing needles was one major method of transmission of the HIV virus, I wouldn't put it solely in the category of STDs, although certainly that is the primary method of transmission these days. That is, I have no problem with the "and" usage.
