I suppose you could talk about this till the cows come home
as syntax generally denotes the grammatical arrangement of words in a sentence as well as the relationship of theicomponent parts of a sentence. In English, the main device for showing the relationship among words is word order
grammar basically consists of all the rules of how words change their form and how they may be combined with other words to make meaningful sentences
why not go there for a brief introduction ?
