Know it when you see it in this context means immediately recognize it without thinking. the second part says that now being able to see it (whatever 'it' is) is a problem, so we can assume that it is dangerous hence the need to immediately recognize it so you could respond immediately.

As a teacher, it's important to show the learners correctly written English on the forum. One of the biggest problems many of them have is capitalisation so the native speakers need to make sure that we're all doing it right. :-D
