Teachers, please, could you help me with this?

I was watching an American TV channel, then I heard a woman say "come with me and see when the story takes as next".

Is it right? If so... What did she mean by "takes as next"?

Thank you

The words that you quoted don't make any sense to me.
Maybe she said 'come with me and see where the story takes us next.'

hmmm... actually it can be like you just said, I'm a beginner in English learning, my ears are not that trained to get everything what people say. Ok, then, whether what that woman said is 'where the story takes us next', I guess she meant that one has to watch/follow in order to see what is about to come up, right?
is this text OK? If not, could you proofread?

Many thanks.
