Thanks, guys. It's really nice to share this news with all of you here. I suppose now it's about time for me to know and talk with Real Foreigners. I really hope they'll be as kind, generous, and helpful as you.

Btw, teacher tdol, could you introduce me to your Australian friend, please? And did you ever hear what Australian accents are like? One of Chinese there told me they said a lot of different English, which pretty much freaked me out. I don't even make sure they could use words like slangs I learned from Friends. If there is a language barrier betweem us. I can't imagine how frustrated and awkward I may be by then.

Australian English does use some different terms, but it is readily comprehensible. The accent is distinctive, but easy on the ear. The Australian sense of humour is closer to the British than the American- plenty of sarcasm. They have 'Friends' there too.;-)

I know what it's like to go through the visa fiaso - my fiancee just got her visa to go with me to the UK for a holiday. The stress of that almost gave me a heart attack.

I'm sure you'll have a ball in Australia. Bung a shrimp on the barbie for me, won't you?
