One day I checked my email and found out this:
This email was sent from a user at englishforums.com. Replying
to this email will be sent back to the user via normal
email.
Sent From: Terryxpress
Subject: your post
__________________________________
I also post under a different name, and I will know not to respond to your posts on the UsingEnglish forum site. Waste of time if you're already seeking answers on this site.
When I received the email, I couldn't get a grasp of what Terry meant by saying "Waste of time if you're already seeking answers on this site". So, I emailed back and asked
" Huh? What's so wrong about posting two questions simultaneously on two different forums? I don't get what you mean by "Waste of time if you're already seeking answers on this site", which site? And how come it is a waste of time? If you don't answer, there should be others.".
I really didn't know what he meant, he will not answer my posts? Ok, but how's that? Posting same posts on two forums is wrong? Moreover, if my memory serves my right, I haven't seen Terryxpress replied my posts on this forum. I don't know what his alias is in UsingEnglish, so if you are Terryxpress, please let me know and please answer my question above. I haven't seen any rules of those two forums say I cannot posts the same posts on two different forums.
However, in the second email of his, he said:
"You're so damn selfish you can't grasp what I'm saying. Anyway, I'll be privating some of the senior posters to let them know
."

Terry, need you swear here? And because I did not grasp what you meant, I asked. But you didn't answer or make it clear to me. Instead, you threatened:" Anyway, I'll be privating some of the senior posters to let them know". Ok, go ahead. They should have been known by now.
" Sorry, Terry, I don't see what you mean. Why did you say that I am selfish? I cannot grasp what you was saying, perhaps because of my English is still weak, or, your opinion is too vague that I cannot make it out.... Tell me more about it. Ok, I'm going to make a topic. But something I can deduce from your previous message was: I am not allowed post the same thing simultaneously on the two different forums? I have my cause to do that. Please don't interfere with it. I hope that what you mean. Otherwise, I'm terribly sorry and please tell me what you meant more clearly "
Perhaps I misunderstood. But if you want to accuse me, first please explain where did I go wrong? I'm just making a topic here. You can post your answer and everyone could see. So that would be fair, wouldn't that?
P/s: I really have my cause to do that. I want to get more chances since all the questions I posted are urgent. There more you posts, there more answer you will get, I think. If I untentionally hurt any members, you can take my aplogy for sure.

The tone of our postings on usingenglish.com is often negative and hurtful. I am not sure I want to continue, because of this.

I don't know and I don't care what is happing over at englishforums.com. But here are some things I'd like you to bear in mind:

belly_ttt: If Terryxpress, or anyone else, has a problem with your posts at englishforums.com, it is a problem that should be dealt with at englishforums.com. It doesn't need to be battled out here in public.

Terryxpress (whatever name you post under on these forums): If belly_ttt is causing you problems, the simplest thing to do is to put belly_ttt on your Ignore List. We have one here, and no doubt there is one at englishforums.com. Simply add belly_ttt to your Ignore List, and you will never need to read another post from belly_ttt again.

If you have a problem with one specific post (spam, personal insults, that kind of thing), use the Report Post feature: it's the red triangle at the top right of each post. This will send an e-mail to staff, and we can then take whatever action is necessary.

@rewboss: Oh, this is my bad. I will not let this happen again

I have lived most of my life in Canada, where people do not usually say things to hurt each other.
This is our culture. If people on this forum say things that are intentionally hurtful, insulting, demeaning, I don't want to see it.

baqarah131, if you have a problem with a specific poster, I repeat: use your Ignore list, or bring specific examples of bad behaviour to the attention of the staff.

Belly,

The email comes from someone at englishforums.com, according to your message, not from a user here. Could you check the address as we have no record of anyone with that name.

Thanks.

Richard
