Chers profs, bonsoir

On this photo, we can see in the foreground a girl who is approximately 16. She has a dark skin and long brown hair. Besides, she seems to be Moslem. Furthermore, she plays with a soccer ball (AE) / football (BE ?) in a garden. However, she is not dressed in sports gear. Indeed, she is wearing ample / loose (?) blue clothes with patterns (?), as well as white sport shoes. In the background we can see a hedge adjoining a green hut and a house. This house has a white facade with two windows and a brick roof. In addition, we can say that the scene takes place in summer because the sun is shining, the sky is blue, the grass is green and the girl is wearing light clothes.

Stop Thief
This incident actually happened a few years ago.
One Saturday morning, in a small English town, a man entered a shoe shop. For a few minutes he carefully inspected some cowboy boots. Then he put his dirty old trainers on the floor and left the shop. He now had some smart new cowboy boots on his feet. Luckily, the assistant saw immediately what was happening and rang / called the police. They soon caught the thief because he was moving too slowy. He couldn't run very fast in two right-foot shoes.

Merci beaucoup.
Cordialement,

How about "in the photo" instead of "on the photo"?

Hello Anglika,

Is it possible to use the word "right-footed" at the end of the second text?

Would you please have a look at this one too?

He used to say that he wanted to be an actor. He had never recorded a song until he met this TV producer. Since then, he has become a star. He has already sold two hundred thousand records. He is the first solo artist to have ever sold so many records with just one song. He says he will go on until he has sold one million records.
He recently made an announcement :« I have always wanted to be famous since I was a child.»

Thanks a million

Good morning, Anglika

I made some changes to one of the text above, would you please tell me if the tenses are right this time?

On this photo, we can see in the foreground a girl who is approximately 16. She has a dark skin and long brown hair. Besides, she seems to be Moslem. Furthermore, she is playing with a soccer ball/ football in a garden. However, she is not dressed in sports gear. Indeed, she is wearing loose-fitting clothes in blue with patterns as well as white sport shoes. In the background we can see a hedge adjoining a green hut and a house. This house has a white facade with two windows and a tiled roof. In addition, we can say that the scene is taking place in (the ?) summer because the sun is shining, the sky is blue, the grass is green and the girl is wearing light clothes.

All the best

In this photo

Moslem - fine; if the photo was black and white, you might see the word Muslim (now archaic, but still in use within living memory). But if you can see the colour of the grass and the sky, it must be a colour photo!

'with patterns' might well be 'with sports logos' (depending on the pattern)

Au Voleur: bravo;-) (we often say 'with two right shoes' or even 'two right-hand shoes', or maybe 'with shoes on the wrong feet' [changing the sense a bit]).

It's fine, apart from changes to "In this photo"; "she has dark skin..."; "we can say that it is summer...".

The tenses are ok.
