Is the use of "than" in the following sentence correct grammatically and conceptually? If it is not , kindly suggest ways to make it clearer.

The pressure drop coefficient is decreased at ϕ≥0.15 for the VTB than the CTB
.

VTB=variable thickness blade
CTB=constant thickness blade

ϕ=flow coefficient

I think you mean compared or as opposed to, not than.
