I came across a tricky sentence and I couldn't get it at all.

The sentence is as follows:

"At least, I can't hear his snoring that side of heaven."

Does it mean 'hell'? I know the other side of heaven means something like hell.

Or It means during my sleeping? or that much?

I think if it means 'hell', there's something missing in this sentence.

Somebody gotta help me out!!

No, I don't think "that side of heaven" means "hell". I think "that side of heaven" means in heaven. It's like saying 'that side of the door to heaven'. Now we are not in heaven, but if and when when we get to heaven, we will be 'in (that side of) heaven'. When the speaker and/or the snorer are in heaven, the speaker won't be bothered by "his" snoring any more.

Or It means during my sleeping? or that much? I don't think so.

Let's see if there are any other ideas.

More context would help.

It could well just mean that "I" has found somewhere to sleep where the snoring doesn't disturb him/her.

After I wrote my first response, I remembered a famous phrase, "the sweetest music this side of heaven".
This phrase was the logo (= an identifying statement) of a famous World War II era Canadian band, Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians. They actually worked out of New York City and apparantly were quite famous on the radio.

Of course "this side of heaven" meant 'outside heaven', and that reinforces my thinking that "that side of heaven" most likely means 'in heaven'.

Context would be welcomed, but possibly there is none available.
