An organization with the legal rights of a person and that may be owned by many persons is called a corporation.

Can I omit "that", or "that may be?"
By the way, is there any punctuation mistake in the sentence(can I omit...) above?

Thank you in advance!

I think you need to rewrite the original sentence somewhat. Try:
  • An organization that has the legal rights of a person and that may be owned by many persons is called a corporation.

(Say: "Can I omit "that" or "that may be"?")

:)
