"the" by two nouns !

I have questions regarding English writing and I thought you could help mecan you please let me know which of these sentences are correct. I always have problems with "the" and don't know when I have to use it in case of two nouns which one is definite and second one is indefinite OR both are definite so here are some examples
1-
a- different types of method and way
b-different type of methods and ways
c-different types of methods and ways
2-
a-with variations of the uniaxial compressive strength of formations.
b-with variations of the uniaxial compressive strength of the formations.
c-with variations of uniaxial compressive strength of formations.
and by the way, do we need to give (the and a) to every word in English writing like in German language (ein, eine, ein Or, der, die, das)​

"Methods" and "ways" are pretty synonymous, so I'm not sure there is a lot of point in saying both, but c is right, with the plural "types" "methods" and "ways."

2-
a-with variations of the uniaxial compressive strength of formations.
b-with variations of the uniaxial compressive strength of the formations.
c-with variations of uniaxial compressive strength of formations.

and by the way, do we need to give (the and a) to every word in English writing like in German language (ein, eine, ein Or, der, die, das)

I assume you have already told your reader which specific formations you mean, so use "the formations." If this applies to every formation in the world, then just use "formations." Use "the" before the strength phrase.
