3,Nah, Ron, you're not right here. Taiwan could be a country named "China People" or "China Nationality", which was constructed before China.P.R and was beat by CCP among 1945 and 1949. Now Taiwanese just wanna claim their independence with a brand new name, totally spliting apart with China. I'm not sure I make me clear here because it's really a long historical story.

I don't profess to know much about Chinese history, but didn't the Kuomintang move to Taiwan after they were defeated by the Communists? Of course, there were people already there (on Taiwan), so that did complicate things.

4, I figure that Communism is only supposed to set up a virtual and false dream of heaven and perfect country, but in fact all of rulers using Communism merely focus on how to take advantage of people's benefits. What a devil theory.

Isn't that the way it always is? When people set out to rule others they care more about what they want than about what the people want.

5, Thanks, Ron poet, now I might uderstand that Jewish thing a little well.

You're welcome. Israel is quite a small country, but some people choose to believe that it is the primary threat to world peace. I suppose it goes back to so many people throughout history using Jews as scapegoats.

6, So that means American soldiers might be able to reject a command, like broodbath or torment captives? Hmm, for example, even though Iraqii brutally killed your soldiers, ripped their corpse, if some of yours did the same for revenge, you Americans wouldn't be with this sort of behaviors? :?:

I think you are referring to the incident in Fallujah in which some Iraqis murdered some civilian contractors and then mutilated the bodies. Considering the circumstances, I think the Americans have been very patient. I think they should insist that the murderers be handed over.

U.S. soldiers are not allowed to commit crimes. They are punished for it if they do.

7, Dear Ron, you should know China has a very long history. Any part of China land was once being a small country. And trust me, Tibetans' old reign before 1700's was an entire religious, brain-washed,oppressive regime. It sucked.

China does indeed have a long history. As for religious, oppressive regime, I imagine there have been quite a few if those.

8, Ron poet, then why did you have a civil before? Why didn't you just divide to two countries? Is it ture that most of American would think this the way like yours? It's really refreshing my mind. I'm very interested in your explaination next, because what we've been educated is sovereignty and solidarity of one nation is the most essential thing for her people, which is the reason Chinese will want to re-occupy Taiwan recklessly if she's independent.

Yes, we had a bloody civil war which was fought in part to hold the country together. That does not mean that secessiion is illegal. In fact, as far as I know, there is nothing in the Constitution about it.

9, Tell you a pop saying in China, " Not friends, must be enemies." Some Chinese said it's derived from American politician after 911. (You know, same meaning. I'm not sure its English version.) Is it true?

George W. Bush, U.S. President, said shortly after 9-11, "You are either with us or you are with the terrorists."

Hi, GGump. It is very nice to meet a Yu Jie fan here, because I am, too. "Xiang Can Shan", hm, good taste. I'd say it is the only novel I have bought in recent years(Am I suggesting that I have good taste in reading, too? ).

Nope, I just get a possible shot to study in Australia soon. Thanks for your words. You're Chinese, right? I used to laugh at like hehe.
Nice meeting you.

 I don't even know who's Yu Jie so far. Sometimes I kinda only hope to escape from Chinese culture, books or language, even though something in regard to democracy groups overseas might be beneficial for China. Actually I doubt if it can work out. I don't wanna waste my time and entire life for saveing-----maybe ruining----Chinese who mostly swear at me interfering in their stable lives.

Yeah, I'm completely despaired by everything of China and Chinese. Deeply inside.

Sorry about that. But I'm sure I'll be happy about that finally.

Ron poet, let me learn something new from you, ok? Sorry I have to put you in trouble again and again because you're too knowledgeable.
 I don't suck up to you here, I promise.

1, About that civil war of Amreica, I knew some people from Southern America still worship and memorize Generals of Souththern army now. Is it legal in America? Why don't you think them of traitors and curse them because they had a wish to split "Great America" up on purpose? Did someone believe it might have become better if Southern army had won?

2, We all know there is race discrimination in America. Is it still being a big problem for Americans' getting along? And for instance, if I'm not an American but I'm studying in US, if someone insulted my race before my face, should I get a right to sue him or her? You should know a lot of rumors and sayings exist among Chinese that we'd be treated brutally just because of our race, which is sure one of reasons of anti-American in China.

3, As a federal country, America has a lot of states where have different laws and people. So how could you deal with the regional discrimination between rich, developed states and poor, undeveloped ones?

4, Did you see a great movie of The Patriot? I'm kinda confused about the way of battles in it. Why did those soldiers just stand tightly in front of enemies on a plain, shooting each other in a very close distance. Why didn't they use some tricks to avoid useless sacrifice? As in, entice Bratish to get into forests and then burn the whole forest out.
Kinda cruel but very effective, right? This kind of military tactics were from the greatest strategist of China in ancient times.
He's the cleverest guy ever in China and good at fire strategy.
Hmm, the kind of battal way is derived from Kinght Spirit? I mean, fight fair and square.
:?:

I really regret that I didn't take my time to learn more English and Western cultures before.I'm worried about how to adapt myself in a total different society now.

I think Taiwan is already independent. They are just not supposed to say they are. :)

I'm not into politics. The relationship between Taiwan and China has been an issue for ages. Oh, I forgot to mention I'm from Taiwan. Most of the people here live an ordinary and regular life as you do in China or States. IMO, either economical or political advantages and disadvantages is beyond our understanding. I read daily news just to see them verbal- fighting everyday. We are already an independent country, I don't see any reason to claim officially. I don't think unifying is a good idea but to claim independence is worse.

For me, I am doing fine. I work hard, party hard and I realize my dreams. Live your life well is the most valuable thing. Isn't it? I'm going to sleep now. I have black eyes. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Taiwanese? Here is really a worldwide site. You're not afraid of being expelled by Mainland from world organizations again and again?
So you belong to Blue Camp, don't you?
I sorta don't agree with your points, but it's nice to see your post here.
From my part, you'd better wait up until Mainland has a revolution.
Reunifing will be very very important for Chinese world in the future, but I know it's hard to reach. I don't like reading verbal fights between Chinese and Taiwanese either.

Just curious, but what shocks you? (If you don't mind.)

Hm. On this thread I am talking to three guys from China. Interesting. All of you are much better at English than I ever will be at Chinese. I do enjoy talking to you. I learn much by doing that.
