Please check my sentences. Thanks.
The earth rotates/evolves around the sun and not the other way around.
1. No one can seriously claim otherwise these days.
2. Who still denies such a thing these days?
3. Wouldn't it be insane to deny that?
4. Who still denies such a thing these days?

@Piscean.
"evolve" was a typo. But nevertheless I really appreciate that you correct it. That's very important!!
Above all , thanks for distinguishing between "rotate" and "revolve". That was a real big mistake of mine.
I would never have discovered this mistake.

I think you can also say "The earth circuits the sun". Am I right?

But what about my other sentences?

12. Would you really seriously deny such a fact?

I would remove the 's' from 'claims' in 5.

I am curious to find out whether my two following sentences are fine. Like always, thanks!
It takes a year for the earth to make a circuit of the sun.
To make a circuit of the sun, takes a year for the earth.

I am curious to find out whether my two following sentences are [strike]fine[/strike] OK/correct. Like always, thanks!
It takes a year for the earth to make a circuit of the sun.:tick:
To make a circuit of the sun, takes a year for the earth.:cross:
The second would be grammatically correct if you removed the comma, but it would not be natural.

Although we often answer the question "Is this correct?" with "Yes, it's fine," we don't ask whether something is "fine".

@GoesStation
Thank you very much for telling me that the second sentence is grammatically correct, but not natural.
Such things are enormously important to me!
Of course, I also play with the sentences with regard to their word order.

And since we're at it, let me add a few more sentences.

1. If the Earth were as far away from the Sun as Mars, the orbit would increase by the Sun.

2. If the earth were as far away from the sun as Mercury, the orbit around the sun would decrease.

3. If the earth were only as far away from the sun as Mercury, the orbit around the sun would decrease accordingly.

If the earth were as far from the sun as Mars is, its orbit around the sun would be longer.
If the earth were as close to the sun as Mercury is, its orbit around the sun would be shorter.
