I am in two minds about which of the following versions of the title is more correct (maybe none of them?)
The engine room of a ferry is to undergo repairs at a shipyard
or
A ferry to undergo repairs in the engine room.
What do you think?
In my opinion, the first option is better.

I can't answer your question but I'd guess that "needs to be repaired" or "needs maintenance" would be more common than your suggestions.

In my opinion, the first option is better.

Yes agreed.

However, my first thought was the two are not the same. It seems clear in the first where the repairs will be carried out – in a shipyard.
My second thought was that I’d prefer ‘repairs to the engine room’ as inferred in the first example.
And finally, I’m not sure if it is meant to mean ‘any ferry in any shipyard’. But if it is meant to be that general so be it.

But experts will be along very soon.
