Misspelling of 'identifier', ie. the noun 'practical'.

I take it to mean " 'Maybe you haven't noticed the evil turn this word ('practical') has taken. It sounds like the writer is suggesting that 'practical' has taken on a usage that he disagrees with.
I have no idea what the conversation is about.
