I am going on a trip with my friend. We decide that the expenditure will be divided among both of us. So can I say "The expenditure will be divided "in" or "among" both of us"?

If you put "among or between" (without the quotation marks) in the Custom Search box, you will find plenty of previous threads about it.

Did you even read teechar's corrections in post #2? Read the part in bold starting "to split". That is the correct way of saying it.
