I am wondering if my sentence is grammatically correct.

The firefighters put their lives on the line to save the occupants from the burning building.

Yes, it's fine.

For the benefit of other learners, the "put" in the first half is the simple past, not the simple present. The simple present could be used if the rest of the sentence were changed: "Firefighters put their lives on the live to save people from burning buildings".
