[Grammar] The first man to walk on the moon

Hi there,
I am quite not familiar with this sentence structure; The first man to walk on the moon said it was "a giant leap for mankind". Is this sentence right if I write this way? "The first man who walked to the moon said it was "a giant leap for mankind" I think this is correct.

Can we use the structure put as title with other words? For example; The first person to climb the highest tree in our village was myself.

Change 'to' to 'on' and your alternative version is correct.

"The first person to climb the highest tree in our village was myself." I would not use "myself" there; I would use "me".
