I'd like to ask about one phrase in the Acknowledgments section of the book.

Tertiary thanks to: my agent, Lucienne Diver, for her tireless work in making my life better; Marcus and Aoki, the cats, for being cute and affectionable; the Forebearance, especially the Mom; Kyoshi Paul and all the folks at the dojo for everything, in particular the hiking trip to New Paltz.

Does the word "Forebearance" mean "patience" and does the phrase "the Forebearance, especially the Mom" mean "the patience of the Mom"?

I mean no offense when I say there is some very peculiar English being written now in countries where the use of English on a large scale has begun only recently.

Edward, this was written by a native speaker and the book itself was published in the USA by Del Ray Books.

K, the acknowledgements in a book are basically a private message from the author to people who were helpful when the book was being written. I don't think this author realized there'd be a determined English student somewhere in Russia who'd actually read it. People just don't read acknowledgements, unless they're looking for their own names.
Forebearance, if spelled forbearance, actually is a word meaning patience. But it has a capital letter here, which makes me think it's some kind of business, like a restaurant, or maybe a social center, and the "Mom" could be an older woman there. Besides this, the use of tertiary here is strange, and affectionable is not, to my knowledge, a word.
