I ran across this fill-in question:
Whether the fruit looking ugly in his fruit stand sells well remains to be seen.
The underlined part is no doubt the correct answer. But I just wondered if the italicised part of the sentence sounds all right to you native English speakers.

I would have said "the fruit on his fruit stand/stall/barrow that looks ugly...". Certainly "on" is better than "in" for the context.
