Hello all users!

Suppose that someone has just been to a vet with their animal. The animal's paw had to be shaved in order for an injection to be given. There is a bald patch, where the paw was shaved. Fortunately, the vet puts the owner's mind at ease, saying "Easy, easy, the hair on the paw will grow back".

or should I say "Easy, easy, the hair will grow back on the paw".

What do you think?

Thank you.

Re: which version is better?

People say easy, easy to calm down someone who is extremely upset. A little bald patch on an animal's paw would usually provoke nothing more than mild concern. The vet would respond to that by saying Don't worry.

"the hair on the paw will grow back".
or "the hair will grow back on the paw".
I think since there is no (or little) hair currently on the paw, #2 is the better option.
