I would like to ask you which of the two sentences is correct:

1. The heater is fit to be replaced.
2. The heater is fit for a replacement.

I think that sentence 1 is correct, but I prefer to check with you.

The general idea is: The heater is so damaged that it can only be replaced.

The sentences were created by me.

Neither of the sentences means what you want it to, and neither is natural.

The heater is fit for nothing = The heater does not work = The heater needs to be replaced.
