Can "heaven" be plural? If so, what is such a case?

Yes, in just the same way as mainstream religions would all say there is one God but we talk about 'the gods are smiling on us' taking a non-philosophical view that there are lots of gods (small g!) I guess if each god lives in a heaven then we can have heavens :)

:up: And when it just means 'the sky' (not in you R&J quote, but in, for example 'They had just got back from shopping when the heavens opened' [=it started raining very hard]) it's often plural.
